Yes! Tokyo Nights features real sumo wrestlers performing authentic sumo bouts. Our wrestlers are trained in the traditional art of sumo and deliver genuine, competitive matches for our audience.
In sumo, a heya is a training stable where wrestlers live, train and compete together. It is a team, a family and a training ground all in one. At Tokyo Nights, every guest is assigned one of four heyas — Genbu, Byakko, Seiryu or Suzaku — which becomes part of the rivalry.
You'll be seated in the area dedicated to a heya (Sumo team). We recommend wearing a nod to your team's colours to show your support. Or you can pre-book a merchandise pack to collect on arrival.
